Vinny has been named Residential Proptech of the Year at the 2026 Proptech Awards, presented by Proptech Australia at the Gala Awards Dinner on 2 July 2026 at The Ivy, Sydney. The category recognises the proptech making the strongest impact on residential property operations across the country.
It is national recognition from the industry itself, judged against the field. And it lands in the category that matters most to us: residential, where Vinny does its best work.
What the award recognises
The Proptech Awards are run by Proptech Australia, the national industry association, and are now in their sixth year. Thirty-five awards were presented across the night, spanning the full breadth of the sector. Residential Proptech of the Year sits among the Committee Awards, decided on the quality and real-world impact of the work.
For us, that framing is the point. This is not recognition for a clever idea on a slide. It is recognition for what Vinny does every day inside residential property operations: capturing every enquiry, moving leasing forward, keeping residents informed, and handling the high-volume work that slows teams down.
Why residential, and why now
Australian residential operators are scaling fast. Build to Rent has moved from a niche conversation to a serious asset class, and the teams running these buildings are under real pressure to lease faster, keep occupancy high, and give residents a better experience, all without adding headcount for every new building.
That is the gap Vinny closes. It works across the rental lifecycle, from first enquiry through to renewal, taking action inside the systems teams already use. A prospective resident who enquires at 11pm gets a reply in minutes, not the next morning. A maintenance request gets captured, triaged, and routed to the right person without a leasing manager chasing it. The work still gets done. It just stops landing on people who have better things to do.
Winning in the residential category tells us the industry sees that difference too.
An AI teammate, not another platform
The property world does not need another tool to log into. Operators already have plenty. What they need is capacity: more done, more consistently, across every building.
That is how we built Vinny. It is the AI teammate for property teams, not a platform bolted on top of them. It connects to existing systems, takes on the repetitive operational work, and drives each task to an agreed outcome. Teams stay in control. They simply operate at a scale that was not possible before.
Recognition like this matters because it comes from people who understand that distinction. The judges have seen the sector's tools. They know the difference between software that promises and software that acts.
What comes next
An award is a marker, not a finish line. The teams we work with are still growing, still opening buildings, still asking their operations to do more. Vinny grows with them.
Our thanks go to Proptech Australia for running an awards programme that holds the industry to a real standard, and to the operators who trust Vinny inside their day-to-day work. This one is shared with them.
