Tom Mac has joined Vinny as Special Projects Engineer. He started in July and works across product, go-to-market and engineering, taking on the problems that don't sit neatly inside one team.

Tom was most recently co-founder of Ibasho, which built an AI CRM for property managers in Poland. Before that he was the founding BizOps hire at Y Combinator-backed Truth Systems, and spent two years at Revolut in Berlin as a Strategy and Operations Manager.

He joins at a busy time. Vinny is the AI teammate for property teams, handling leasing, maintenance, campaigns and analytics for build to rent, student accommodation, co-living, later living and letting agency teams across the UK, EU and Australia. As more operators put Vinny to work across more buildings, more of the interesting problems cross teams: a customer request that needs a product decision, a bit of engineering and a clear story for the market, all in the same day.

That's the gap Tom fills. He has built a property product from scratch, run operations at a fast-growing fintech, and seen from the inside how a startup finds its footing.

"I'd been watching Vinny grow, and it was clear that AI in proptech was only going to accelerate," says Tom. "What convinced me in the end was the problem itself. Housing touches everyone's life, and when a property team runs better, people find homes faster and get a better experience living in them. That's work I want to be doing."

Asked what sets Vinny apart, he pointed to the team's closeness to the people it builds for. "Vinny understands the domain properly. The team works closely with customers, so what we build comes from how property teams actually work, not from guesswork."
